New Feedback Comments

Our old feedback comments are getting a little crowded. There has been massive improvement since beta is launch, we are now have drag and drop support and search box feature. I thought I am going to start a new feedback box here.

A method of moving links from tab to tab would be helpful. Or perhaps an 'all' tab that would show all of a user's links.

I'm using the latest version of firefox, and there are no snapshots being created for my links. However if I open in IE, snapshots are visible. Any advice?

You would be very useful to be able to create sub categories. It would help a lot to organize our bookmarks.
Thanks

It would be really useful if there were a link to view your page without a password, though you would still need to log in to add/change things. For those who are too concerned about privacy, they could turn it off.

Charsets needs to be investigated. My name contains the char 'ö' (o with oumlats) and doesn't display correctly. When I type the HTML code for the chars (ö) it displays nicely in the "Update"-line saying 'Mikael Grön is our new member no 3599', but up to the left it says something like GRApN (A having a tilde on top and p being a paragraph sign).

We have changed our Charset to use UTF-8, can you confirm if this is OK now ?

Hi, tks for your service, for a long time i wanted something this simple!

I'd like to add my 2 cents.

- Would be great to have an option for list view.

- I like the sub categories idea.

- I wrote some comments on sites, but can't find where to read them

I think that's it, tks again!

also change thumb site, specially when adding to many sites to tab.

tks!

be able to drag a link to a different tab.

September 30, 2007 10:56 AM
Blogger Jonathan said...

DIdnt have time to read the other ones. Really like this website, but very small problems. Why does my bookmarks disapprear even though i am on my account and on the same computer using the same explorer (firefox)? 2. need to be able to size the boxes or just the links: then you could have columns on one page of the different tabs then it would be truly two clicks for everything. I know the aesthetics would decrease but some people might want the feature. at least have the option. 3. be able to send other people a link that automatically adds my page to their account? Thanks

This is a great service. My comments are:

1. The ability to move a link to a different category (ideally drag and drop) would be awesome.

2. The ability to create a new account based on the structure of an existing one. e.g. there are 4 of us in my team - we'd all like to use the same basic categories and links, and then add our own personal ones too. This is a big issue since we have more than 100 links.

Great site, awesome. Well done!
A few things that would finish it off…

Ability to import bookmarks exported from IE, FireFox, Camino etc (So I dont have to recreate 200plus bookmarks)

Ability to add in dividers

Dont know if this was already said but... I think all links should be in target=_blank . Its annoying to open the link and see the bookmarks page close. And it disperses the attention and reduces usability.

don't you know that you can set this up by going to profile page

I've seen the option, but it turns out it was a bug in my Browser Opera and also in Firefox because of a toolbar i have... I've solved the problem. Thanks.

Ps: Any ideas about creating the possibility of a public profile? A open share of the bookmarks with selected users?

Drag & drop links works great but since you have "http://" already there it gets duplicated and I have to delete the 1st 7 characters.

Not sure what "Drag this link onto homepage button" means. I couldn't find any such button. I just used make current page my home page in firefox preferences.

I'm really liking your program, especially easy to keep up with my fav sites (COUGHbetterthandel.icio.usCOUGH)
Hope to see user created backgrounds.

Had an idea for you, one I think you would be perfect for.

the idea is an Online list maker.
one that would work in a similar manner to only2clicks in that if a person wanted to make a wishlist... they simply need to save the URL of the item and a way to send copies of the list to others. Also it would allow free text lists for anything from gorcery lists to personal notes.

Anyway, I thought I'd toss the idea to you and see what you thought.

Keep up the good work.
Cheers!

Passwort is cut after registration (10 chars) and then of course wrong when you try to log in the first time. So ABCDEFGHIJKLM will automatically be set to ABCDEFGHIJ by your server.

Then in Firefox (2.0.0.9 German) this message is shown everytime you delete a website

Fehler: Components is not defined
Quelldatei: chrome://browserrecord/content/urilistener.js
Zeile: 334

I like the concept but very much beta and I can't use the site in this state.

Feedback in a blogger comment section seems not very "professional" to me.

Sorry that's just my opinion.

Best Regards from Germany

Markus

I fell upon only2clicks yesterday and loved it. I set everything up and went to sleep and couldn't wait for my family to see it as the homepage. The next day they got on and it opened on the login page and they had no idea what it was and just kept moving.

Having to log in adds to the clicks I have to do. Why sign in and then go to google if it's easier to type in google.com than email and password.

It would be awesome if you could choose whether it needs to be accessed by a password or not.

Would it be possible to have a search function within Only2Clicks so those of us who are OLD and FORGETFUL, would be able to find a particular program amongst our over 20 categories?
Also, my computer hard drive died, losing my Add to Only2Clicks bookmarklet. When I try to add a new bookmarklet, it doesn't do anything. Any ideas?

Good app, just tried it. BUT, I imported my own bookmarks and it made tabs/categories of some folders w links inside but a whole bunch of links that was inside other folders was made in to their own tabs/categories, that is normal links. So instead of maybe 15 categories that I had (mainfolders) I now have uncountable... 60? And to take those away seems to be only possible one cat by one categorie wich seems to take forever! I need a delete all links/tabs/categories in one go and start from fresh! Not going to sit for 1 hour and delete categories. So wont be using this for now.

I've been using only2clicks for a while and can't live without it now.

One thing I believe that should be worked on is the function button.

I constantly click the stuff in there by mistake as the menu shows on mouse over. This is frustrating sometimes especially when i mistakenly moved one site into other directories.

I believe a perfect solution will be, Instead of showing the menu on mouse over, just simply show it by clicking on the little icon. This will eliminate misclicks.

Good job Only2Clicks, oh and hopefully more skins will come out. I really enjoy the black theme atm.

its a fabulous idea but here are 2 suggestions:
1. the possibility of themes: to let us choose ate least the background color or use an image as background. that will make a theme.
why a theme? because is the homepage, the website you see most of the day, you want to personalize it.
also the possibility to add our own search engines, for example, I would like to have yahoo answers as a search engine.

I like the fact that you have tips, but refreshing them every minute or so is unnerving.. I catch it out of the corner of my eye.

Might I suggest having a fresh tip for each page load and then not changing it?

I have seen SEVERAL comments saying that the add to only2clicks tool does not work, but I cannot seem to find one single response or solution to this. I would love this site infinitely more if I did not have to copy and paste and switch tabs constantly in order to add to my bookmarks. Please at least respond to say if this is ever going to be resolved, or if I should give up this hope. I am using firefox 2.0.0.12 but have also tried it with IE7 and it just does nothing. Thanks to ANYONE for any tips that help me get this working.

Michael,

There have been a number of requests for a search function that will locate your desired bookmarklet wherever it's located on your Only2Clicks desktop. That would be immensely helpful for users that make heavy usage of the great tool. Is that feature planned?

Also, is there a way to export the URL's you create bookmarklet's for, or otherwise backup your saved URL's?

Please respond...

You could export your bookmark collection by click on "Import" link on the top then you'll see "Export" button.

Are you talking about ajax type search that will locate your links in Only2Clicks ?

1. Only allowed 23 tabs before things start getting squirrelly...
2. Can't do subdirectories, so everything in each tab hasta go in a tab, not a sub-tab.....
3. If one happens NOT TO PAY ATTENTION, an occassional backlash creeps in and ya can't delete, move or copy that link at all......

Any fixes for these little monsters?

It's actually amazing since I actually had exactly the same idea as yours, and I mean exactly. In any case I am happy that someone implemented it. Just a few comments, not sure if anyone mentioned it before.
First, it would be great if the thumbnails could update itself, will be extremely useful for say news website, when I only want to look at the headlines maybe.
Second, the speed is a bit slow, will be much better if its quicker.
Third, it will be great to have a single search box where I can simply put in my search and it will be automatically fed to all the search engines I use, so I don't need to go through each of them.
In any case, great idea, and great work! Keep going! I have faith in you!
